Well, we added a page to this and made it Harris'. But now I can't find it or get to it, so I'll just let him add to this front page as he wants to.

Claire's 4th Birthday!

We had Claire's birthday party on the Saturday before, at Michael's Craft STore.  It was a good time - the girls (and boys since brothers came too!) painted picture frames, made bead necklaces and scavenged for candy from possibly the lamest pinata ever created!  But Claire had fun, so that's all that really matters.  It was a quick, action-packed two hours.    Here is a link to the pictures.

Harris' 2nd Birthday!

This is just a really lazy way to do it, but here are pictures from Harris' 2nd birthday!  His two friends, Matthew and Corbin, came over, as well as Matthew's two siblings, Corbin's big brother, John and Clair Colvin and Elyse Coker, our babysitter who also made his cake.

Lots of juice boxes, pizza, cake and ice cream was had by all.  And everyone was sent home with a most annoying train whistle.

As of his 2-year appointment, Harris is finally starting to gain some weight and jump above the 50th percentile...well, slightly.  He's 29 1/4 lbs and 34 inches tall!  His height is right at 50th percentile, but his weight is about 60th. Maybe this year we can get him to eat more than 7 foods.

Happy New Year!

Since Harris turned 9 months, things have been busy! We went to the Alabama -LSU game (Roll Tide!) and had a great time. We went to Greenville, SC to see Greg and Carin. At Thanksgiving Drew and Shari came up to see us, which was great to not have to travel and to see them. We stalked Kerry on Ft. Knox - and may have had a sighting! Christmas we were able to stay home, too, and Ray's parents and Greg and Carin came up to us. The kids had a great time with the ridiculous amount of toys they got and it was nice having all the Springsteens here.

I finally uploaded a few new videos - a couple of Claire's Christmas concert at her preschool and one of Harris.

Harris turns 1 tomorrow!! He's currently recovering from an ear infection but is doing great. We're going to Raleigh to celebate Bob and Ginny's anniversary and have Harris' party there too. It should be a good time. I'll try to post pictures and video sometime before April.

Next up: Claire turns 3 on February 1st! She wants a Darby/Tigger/Pooh party, so I'm going to to turn the basement into the Hundred Acre Wood. Wish me luck.

Harris' 9-month appointment!

Harris had to catch up on his 6-month shots plus have the regular flu and H1N1 vaccines, so he was not the happiest camper at this pedi appointment. But he's healthy and will likely stay that way at this point, so that's good!

Stats: 21 lbs, 6 oz. (50ish-th percentile), 29 inches (75th percentile), noggin is 47 3/4 (97th percentile, ha!).

He is almost exactly where Claire was at this age. They have very different eating habits at this point, so the weight is different - at 9 months Claire was 25 lbs, 5 oz. but also 29 1/4 long. Her head was bigger - 48.9 cm. I am pretty sure all of her stats were above the girls' curve, lol!

All's good, though.

This Summer....

Well, I'm irked. I just had a lovely summary of our summer typed up and was loading some pictures....and Explorer crashed. SO. I'll have to redo it when I have some more time.

Harris is growing like crazy and doing well. He's figured out crawling but really wants to stand up. He's pulled up to his knees so far, but mostly I catch him on all 4's wondering what to do next.

Claire's loving preschool and staying healthy, which is nice. One huge recent accomplishment: she's potty-trained!! She also moved into a big-girl bed last week. No more crib for my baby!
